Recently, my husband and I decided to take a last-minute trip up to British Columbia.  In over a decade of living in the Pacific Northwest, this is one place we have never been.  Since there were so many things we did and saw, I've broken this post down into question you might have about visiting Vancouver. What do you need when crossing the border? Because this was a last minute trip, we did not have the time to get our children passports.  So, we were very excited to learn that children under 15 do not need passports when driving across the border.  You only need to have their birth certificates.  As adults, we did need to bring our passports. Note: If you fly into Vancouver, then you and your children will all need passports. What about your auto insurance? Lil Cups & Grownups

I love playing with my kids, but sometimes I just need a break. I don't mean a break away from my kids, just a break away from bending down, playing pretend, fitting in toys & accessories not made for an adult and, in general, just a break from playing. I could take my kids to a park, but I'm a concerned, worrying mom who looks at everyone walking, running and driving past the park. What are they doing here without children ? Are they looking at my kid? Will I be the next frightened mother on the news asking people if they've seen my stolen child. I also look around the park and ask myself, where will my child get injured? Which apparatus will my child toss himself off? What disgusting thing will my child pick up?
